Redesign office building

Berlin, Germany

M project, 2023

The KuDa 46 project involved a comprehensive redesign of key elements of a 1990s office building, with a focus on modernizing the lobby, staircase, street facade, and garage. The goal was to revitalize the building's appeal for new tenants, particularly large offices, by creating a more contemporary and inviting atmosphere.

To achieve this, the design introduced new elements while maintaining a careful balance with the building's original features. Budget considerations led to a thoughtful approach, where existing structures like the floor and handrails were retained and complemented by modern additions. This allowed for an upgraded aesthetic without the high cost of full replacements.

In the garage, aesthetics were improved to reflect the overall

modernisation, while practical upgrades included the installation of electric car charging stations, addressing the growing demand for sustainability in office spaces. The end result is a building that seamlessly blends its original character with a sleek, modern look, ready to attract new business in a competitive market.
